Meet Lucas
Lucas was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, alongside his younger sister, as a third-generation immigrant with family from Mexico. From an early age, he witnessed the sacrifices, resilience, and determination of his grandparents and great-grandparents, who worked tirelessly to give their family opportunities they themselves never had. Those values of hard work, perseverance, and gratitude became deeply rooted in who Lucas is today.
Lucas attended Tucson Unified School District schools throughout his entire education. He began his academic journey at Sam Hughes Elementary School, where he learned to play chess and went on to place third in the state. This early experience helped build his critical thinking, patience, and love of learning.
During his time in the district, Lucas also played on the Mansfield Middle School soccer team, helping lead the team to two city championship appearances and one championship victory. He later attended Tucson High Magnet School, where he discovered a passion for creativity through theater and film classes. These experiences helped shape his confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and appreciation for diverse perspectives.
After high school, Lucas planned to serve his country in the military. However, his path unexpectedly changed when he suffered a personal healthcare event, making military service no longer possible. Rather than allowing this setback to define him, Lucas redirected his determination toward education and public service. He earned his real estate license through the Hogan School of Real Estate and earned his Accredited Residential Manager designation.
Now working in property management, Lucas has built a strong reputation for successfully turning around multi-million-dollar communities by prioritizing fiscal responsibility, effective communication, and people-first leadership. He is known for building strong teams, listening to residents, and ensuring that resources are managed wisely and transparently.

Lucas is a proud husband to a teacher and a devoted father to his one-year-old daughter, who will one day attend TUSD schools just as he once did. His family reinforces his deep connection to education, not only as a former student but as someone who sees firsthand the challenges educators face every day.
Today, Lucas is ready to give back to the community that raised him. Through his leadership within his company through Conéctate, an employee network focused on connection, mentorship, and professional growth within the Hispanic community, he has seen firsthand how opportunity and strong support systems can change lives. Lucas brings proven leadership, a commitment to listening, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. He believes that when students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the school board communicate openly and work together, schools thrive.
A vote for Lucas is a vote for clear communication, responsible budgeting, and opportunity for all students.
